As you drive up the long, winding gravel driveway, you pass tall oaks and maples, white board fences, and healthy
horses grazing in grassy pastures. Two young women, one mounted on a sleek black horse, the other on a fancy grey
pony, trot along the edge of the road, and smile at you as you pass. The taller one's auburn hair is tucked
up under a GPA helmet, and she is wearing a light blue lacoste polo. Her black fieldboots are polished to an unatural shine.
The smaller student's fair locks are braided into neat braids with lime green ribbons at the end of each. She is wearing a
light green polo (Ralph Lauren,) and expensive-looking designer jeans. Over her jeans she wears light brown monnogrammed
chaps which buckle behind her waist. You smile back.
Welcome to the Daraza School, possibly the most elite boarding school in the United States. Fifty percent of the
graduates of the Daraza School go on to become equine veterinarians, professional riders, and horse trainers. Nestled into
the rolling hills of Northern Virginia, it is one of the wealthiest areas in the country. The Daraza School is set on 140
acres of fields and forest, and split into 3 campuses.
Of course, school isn't all about riding. Only a select few of the applicants are accepted, and failure to attend
class or violation of school rules may result in suspension or expulsion.
So, apply and see if you get in. Click on the link which reads "Applicants," to apply. If you would like to learn
